Yes, I am alive
Jun. 15th, 2012 05:52 pmHave now been back stateside for about a month, though in all honesty have only spent about half that time "at home." Mom and Dad have been dragging me hither and tither and we did spend about a week on the east coast seeing the sights before heading back to Oregon. I also visited the Middle School Class I have been writing to while overseas. Plus a few other classes, you know, just because I was there.
Was originally bummed that I was jobless upon arriving home. You know how it is, series of unfortunate events ect. But I have decided it was for the best. I have a place to stay and money in savings, plus I seriously underestimated how much stuff I needed to do to get my life back in order. I am almost there though, all the various cards, the insurance, car issues, other important paperwork ect. is finished. The last thing is taking the drive test at the DMV next week so I can get my license back. Word of advice, if you are ever leaving the country for a significant length of time you can get it renewed a year before it expires so you don't have to take the test. Pity they don't tell us these things in advance but such is life.
