What complete BS

I had to order a wired sega genesis controller online because I had already checked all the places in town and no one had them.  I don't like using my credit/debit card online.  I hear way too many horror stories, even before I started answering the phone at a bank.  So, I bought a gift card.  Fortunately my sister warned me before I confirmed my purchase but did you know if you don't use the whole balance at the same time amazon just takes the remainder.

How the $@&$%*%( do they get away with that?

Nearly as bad as the time I canceled a plane ticket a month in advance.  Sure, I got "credit" but they are going to charge me $200 to use it.  The ticket was only $250 in total so either way I am out a couple hundred bucks.
